It is our goal to fulfill the Great Commission given by Christ Himself before His ascension, to tell every person on Earth that the God of the universe has made possible eternal life through the death, burial and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. We are committed to equipping new converts through various forms of discipleship with the necessary tools to lead a faithful, productive life both in and out of prison. We are committed to preaching and teaching the Holy Bible by bringing messages that explain God’s Word and show a clear path to applying it to one’s personal life. We also strive to bring Godly music into the institutions we visit to encourage and enlighten as well entertain all inmates. Our desire is to continue to grow as the Lord allows, with the hope to one day have a faith based temporary transitional home for inmates leaving prison but not able to fully reenter society. Funding Requests In order to accomplish our goals we would like to solicit your prayers and financial contributions. All monetary donations will further the ministry’s work in reaching men and women for Jesus Christ. Efforts in discipleship programs will help the inmates in prison and after their release through aftercare programs. Matthew 28:18-20 tells us to “Go ye therefore and teach all nations…” which we know is the Great Commission. It is our desire to serve the Lord in obedience, as the prisons we enter are our mission field and the mission field of the inmates who have asked Jesus Christ in their lives. Cornerstone Prison Ministry is presently seeking funds to continue the ministry as it grows. We have the opportunity to go into many new prisons up and down the east coast. As we grow, the expenses increase for more bibles, bible studies, discipleship lessons, vehicles, gas and postage and administration costs. Another area for funding is a transitional home (Halfway House) to help those getting out of prison have a place to go. Many do not have family, godly direction or employment and the need is great. Over and over again people end up back in prison because they have no choice but to go back to the lifestyle on the streets they came from. There is no hope for them and the transitional home will help them take the first step back to a normal lifestyle. It will be a mentoring, discipleship and training facility, which would show the true love of Christ as we prepare them to return to an every day life in the secular world. We must help equip them spiritually to be able to integrate into a society where godly Christ-like people are few and far between in public. Cornerstone Prison Ministry deeply covets your prayers and financial support. All contributions will be used for the operation and growth of this ministry. Please mail all checks to Valley Forge Baptist Temple, 616 South Trappe Road, Collegeville, PA 19426, and designate to Cornerstone Prison Ministry.
